My approach to therapy

I’m an experienced and skilled therapist, who’s been in practice for over 12 years. I work well with individuals who are new to therapy and those who’ve had experience with it before. People often seek me out when they are looking for alternatives to CBT.

I’m trained in evidence-based interventions such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapy, somatic therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-compassion based therapy. I also approach the work through an anti-oppressive lense. I lead with warmth, collaboration, non-judgment, and compassion to help build a safe space so each individual feels able to show up authentically in who they are. Therapy works best when people have a space to be fully seen, heard, and understood.

I have a particular specialization working with trauma/C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and body image/ disordered eating. I’m a relational and trauma-informed therapist, supporting individuals in exploring how their past experiences may be connected to present day challenges. I work with individuals to raise self-awareness about emotional and behavioural patterns, process trauma, identify strengths, find self-acceptance, restore balance and implement meaningful change. I’ve had the honour of supporting many individuals through their healing and self-growth process.
